When the Cowley family bought a piece of Marlborough land, now known as Auntsfield Estate, in the late 1990s, they were blissfully unaware of the history they were about to stumble upon.

What really makes their wines taste special is a faultline of decomposed greywacke rock that runs right through their vineyards. This gives their grapes an extra dimension of flavour and structure that you don’t get in other Marlborough wines.
