On the surface of it you’ll find \u003cem\u003eSpungone\u003c\/em\u003e white rock - the land was under the Adriatic Sea 3 million years ago. It left fossils, sand and pieces of coral - this imparts a special minerality in the wine.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eChiara makes the wine in the same way as her \u003ca href=\"https:\/\/winespark.com\/products\/chiara-condello-predappio-sangiovese-2019\"\u003ePredappio Sangiovese\u003c\/a\u003e, but leaves the wine in Slovenian oak for two years instead of one.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe nose is beautiful - it’s herbaceous and woody, but with the typical fresh fruit of Sangiovese Piccolo. On the palate it’s rich, generous and elegant.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe vineyard is next to a forest full of fireflies - \u003cem\u003elucciole\u003c\/em\u003e means firefly in Italian.
