Jocelyn wanted to make a classic Cape red blend of Cabernet and Cinsault - which is what great South African reds were made of back in the 70s and 80s.
However… after an inspirational meeting in 2014 with the legendary Serge Hochar of Chateau Musar, she diverged from her original plans for this wine.
Jocelyn told me that Serge got up and spoke for 3 full hours in front of a room-full of winemakers - a bit about wine, but mostly about life. She was so taken by him and his wines, she decided to try Musar’s Cab-Cinsault-Carignan blend as her own wine.
If you like Musar, or old school Bordeaux, then I think you’ll love this. The nose is full of red fruits, herbs, subtle oak and liquorice. The palate is juicy, easy, and beautifully textured.
If you’re looking for the perfect elegant red, slightly lighter in style at 13.5%, then this wine is for you.

We ship to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland only. €2 per case is added to all Northern Ireland orders to cover additional shipping costs. The point of sale occurs in the Republic of Ireland.
