Federicio spent 5 years at Antinori - in his words, the best school of winemaking in the world. While there he learnt how to make iconic Super Tuscan wines such as Solaia and Tignanello, both of which fetch €120+ a bottle in Ireland.

He left because he wanted to make his own style of wines - the Federico way, not the Antinori way.

He's gone on to become one of the most respected wine consultants in Italy - with wineries such as Castello di Gabbiano, Bindi Sergardi and Fattoria di Lavacchio among his clients.

His best mate is Stefano di Blasi, another graduate of the Antinori wine world, who I worked with for years at Naked. So when I told them about WineSpark - Federico jumped at the idea of making his own wine with his own name on the label.
