The long weekend is coming, and a little birdie tells me we’re finally in for some cracking weather.

Which is perfect timing, because I’ve got some brilliant French wines in stock at the moment.

So if you’re in need of the good stuff for the weekend - grab a 6-pack of my French Favourites.

In the case you’ll get a bottle each of:

• Domaine Jones Fitou 2022 - winemaker Katie Jones is only in the door but it’s clear she's a huge favourite already. This is a blend of Carignan, Grenache and Syrah, made up of 15 special vineyard sites around the village of Tuchan - most over 100 years old. Expect a hit of juicy blackberries, violets and savoury-smoky flavours
• Domaine Saint Andrieu Provence Rosé 2023 - the new vintage of an organic, bee-friendly rosé from a Provence estate owned by Bordeaux’s Château Talbot - no expense is spared in the making of this!
• Laurent Habrard Crozes Hermitage Sylvain 2019 - the return of a pure, peppery and savoury Syrah, made from Laurent’s best Crozes plots only in the best vintages
• Mélanie Pfister Berg Riesling 2022 - from a village called Dahlenheim, just west of Strasbourg in the northern part of Alsace. It’s cool, fresh and windy up here, so you get a pure, refreshing style of Riesling, from one of France’s rising star winemakers
• Domaine de Grand Brussy Menetou Salon 2022 - Menetou is a hidden gem of Loire Sauvignon, a bit like Sancerre’s little brother, and not a lot of it leaves France. Expect an aromatic, flinty nose followed by a soft, textured and tropical palate. Mmm
• Terre des Dames La Diva 2020 - a blend of Syrah, Grenache and a special 100 year-old parcel of Alicante Bouschet in Saint-Chinian. It spends 12 months in big Burgundy oak barrels, which gives the wine a lovely softness but preserves all the amazing aromas from the fruit.
