We were lucky to welcome José and Liliana to Dublin and Cork earlier this year for our Spring tastings.

Members and journalists alike were blown away by their reds, but also a gem of white that they snuck along with them too.

The new vintages have just arrived, so I’ve mixed a 6-pack so you can get in on the action. In it you’ll get:

• 3x Sin Blanca 2019 - a red field blend from 80 year-old vines, mainly the Juan García grape. This has gorgeous red fruit, lavender and rosemary, with a fresh, elegant palate. If you love Beaujolais and similar lighter reds, this will be a revelation
• 2x Otro Cuento 2022 - made from the Doña Blanca (white lady) grape, which you’d normally find in white port. From 100 year-old vines in the highest part of Arribes, its thick skins give lots of fruitiness and great texture, while the altitude makes it lovely and fresh. This is an amazing food wine and will delight Albariño and Godello lovers everywhere
• 1x De Buena Jera 2020 - made from 100% Juan García, their flagship red and from José’s great-grandfather’s vineyard planted in 1920. The nose is dark and serious with amazing oak - very Burgundian. The palate is spicy, complex and very long - a sensational wine from an exciting place.
  

As a wine buyer, there’s no better thrill than discovering delicious wines from people or places that you haven’t heard of before.

That’s exactly how I felt when I discovered José and Liliana.
