I first tried winemaker Ana Gadín’s wines at a tasting last year in La Coruña, and this Godello blew me away.
‘Ferro’ means iron - the wine is named after an ancient Roman iron mine right next to Ana’s Godello vineyard in Ribeira Sacra.
Which is not just a nice story… the soils here are red and full of iron, and this gives a real steeliness and intensity to the wine.
It’s a classic Godello - lovely citrus, pear and herbaceous flavours on the nose, while the palate is intense, pure and lifted with hints of honey and mandarin peel on the finish.
5% of Doña Blanca in the blend adds extra freshness - this is a delightful refreshing and textured white which will delight Albariño and Chablis drinkers everywhere.

We ship to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland only. €2 per case is added to all Northern Ireland orders to cover additional shipping costs. The point of sale occurs in the Republic of Ireland.
Our minimum order requirement is 6 bottles and we ship in multiples of 6’s. This can be 6 different bottles!
