Spectacular Syrah & Shiraz Six
Member Price €146.53
With outdoor season upon us, I’m thinking it’s the perfect time to put together a case of these grill-friendly reds. In it, you’ll get a bottle each of…
- Gérard Courbis Saint-Joseph Vieilles Vignes 2023 - classic northern Rhône Syrah - peppery, savoury and pure - with lovely richness and concentration on the palate. Courbis used to sell his grapes to Chave, one of France’s greatest estates - it’s easy to see why! (13%)
- Domaine Habrard Marion Crozes Hermitage 2020 - made in the best vintages only, winemaker Laurent chooses his top Syrah grapes and bottles a special wine, named after one of his team. The Marion is everything you’d want in a classic northern Rhône red - pepper, perfume, and power (14%)
- Easthope Home Block Hawke’s Bay Syrah 2024 - a previous vintage was awarded New Zealand’s best red, this is everything you want in a good Syrah and more. It’s got intense florals, pepper and vibrant blueberry flavours, with gorgeous weight and presence (13.5%)
- Domaine Gerin La Champine Syrah 2023 - from a small vineyard at the bottom of the famed Côte-Rôtie slopes - literally the other side of the road. It’s pure, juicy and joyful Syrah at just 12.5% alcohol (12.5%)
- Tim Smith’s Bugalugs Barossa Shiraz 2022 - a classic Aussie Shiraz - ripe, bold and powerful, with plenty of sweet dark fruit and a savoury edge. It’s brilliant value because TIM declassifies fruit from his top wines into this blend (14%)
- Tim Smith Barossa Shiraz 2022 - a blend of multiple vineyards in the Barossa and Eden Valley, ranging from 30 to 145 years old! It’s matured in French oak, and bottled unfined and unfiltered - preserving all the amazing flavours and textures from the fruit. (14.5%)
Ordinary muggles would pay €230 for the six wines. But as a hallowed WineSpark member, you save 36% - and get special access that you just won’t find anywhere else.
