So I’ve put together six delicious wines that are ideal for spring sipping. Including:

• Cordero Hica Barbera d'Alba 2019 - an organic Barbera Superiore, made from a vineyard called Bricco Gatti, which is legendary in these parts for producing the best wine. I’m in Piedmont with winemaker Serena today and I can’t wait to crack into this later!
• Stepp Pinot Noir Buntsandstein 2021 - ageing in Grand Cru Burgundy barrels is Gerd’s state secret to make this taste so smooth, spicy and velvety
• Tim Smith Eden Valley Riesling 2022 - from a precious 100 year-old single vineyard near the Barossa Valley - with older vines you get unmatched complexity and concentration in the grapes. It’s dry, refreshing and punchy - a perfect post-work quaffer (and I speak from extensive experience here)
• Domaine de la Sarazinière Mâcon-Bussières Rouge 2022 - the ultimate bright and juicy red - made from a special old Gamay vineyard that Guillaume’s grandfather planted in 1926. Close your eyes and you could be drinking village-level Burgundy
• Meltwater Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2022 - all the fruity intensity of  a good Marlborough, with the finesse and smooth texture of a great Sancerre
• Terre des Dames La Dame 2021 - a classic Languedoc blend of Grenache, Carignan and Syrah. My new go-to house red, it’s that delicious. You can serve it slightly chilled and it will make anything off the grill sing.
