Plus, with so many exciting new wines at the moment, it’s hard to keep up!

• Ana Carazo La Loba Ribera del Duero 2020 - Ana is the toast of Spanish wine at the moment, having picked up two prestigious Winemaker of the Year awards in Spain this year. This is a powerful, brooding Tempranillo, with lovely florals and meaty flavours. It’s Ribera with bags of personality - just like Ana
• Clos Léopold Gigondas 2021 - from one of Gigondas’ highest vineyards on the slopes of the spectacular Dentelles mountains - this is more northern than Southern Rhône in profile - full of white pepper, vibrant fruit and violets
• I Filari Sicilia Grillo 2022 - the wine that sparked this idea - 2022 was a dry year in Sicily which concentrated the fruit flavours in Grillo’s thick skins and tiny berries even more
• Tiberio Montepulciano d’Abruzzo 2022 - from an Italian icon-in-waiting, high up in the hills of Cugnoli where sea breezes and cool nights keep everything fresh and balanced. The Wall Street Journal declared it ‘Italy’s best bargain in red wine now’, and at €19.98 for members, it might just be WineSpark’s now too!
• Nomades Faino Fiano 2023 - the second vintage from the Nomades crew, who also make one of Tuscany’s most prestigious wineries. They’ve really ramped up the minerality and smokiness with this vintage - if you like a good Chablis or aged Riesling, this is 100% for you
