It’s late in the day, but I may have just have found my red wine of the year.
And it’s from a place that you've most likely never heard of - my favourite kind of discovery!
It’s a classic Languedoc blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan - from some of Virgile Joly’s oldest vineyards, which are low yielding and farmed organically.
Not a single cent is spared in the making of the wine - the grapes are carefully hand-picked and hand-sorted, it’s vinified in his new state-of-art winery, and aged in the finest French oak he can get his hands on.
The nose leaps out of the glass with aromas of pure black fruit, pepper and wild herbs, while the palate is dark, rich and powerful, but it has a lovely freshness and elegance to it too.
So if you like the power and ripeness of a good Rhône, with the complexity and structure of a Bordeaux, then go ahead and pre-order a case of six bottles right now!

We ship to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland only. €2 per case is added to all Northern Ireland orders to cover additional shipping costs. The point of sale occurs in the Republic of Ireland.
Our minimum order requirement is 6 bottles and we ship in multiples of 6’s. This can be 6 different bottles!
