The extra-long weekend is almost here, woohoo!

So if you’re in a fix for wine, I’ve put together a case of 6 of my favourite bottles for Easter. In it you’ll get a bottle each of…

  • I Filari Nero D’Avola 2020 - made by one of Italy’s finest winemakers, think luscious black cherries and blackberries, bright florals and those lovely tea leaf flavours you get in Italian reds, with an added splash of Sicilian sunshine
  • Mantel Blanco Verdejo 2024 - the new vintage of our most popular white, from high up in the hills of northern Spain. This is so crisp, fresh and tropical, my fridge is never shy of a bottle of this
  • Mas Calamiac Minervois 2022 - a rich and characterful southern French red from the La Livinière appellation of the Minervois, one of the highest regarded regions of the Languedoc. A blend of 60% Syrah and 40% Grenache, made from immaculate grapes that have been farmed organically for 20 years. Aged in old vats and concrete eggs for extra structure and brightness
  • Marchiori Prosecco Superiore 2023 - Prosecco as it used to be made - from five ancient grape varieties, from steep hilly sites with a wonderful mixture of soils
  • Mélanie Pfister Berg Riesling 2023 - from a village called Dahlenheim, just west of Strasbourg in the northern part of Alsace. It’s cool, fresh and windy up here, so you get a pure, refreshing style of Riesling, from one of France’s rising star winemakers
  • Terre des Dames La Diva 2019 Magnum - last but not least, a big bottle of the perfect red from Saint-Chinian in the Languedoc. It's a blend of Syrah, Grenache and a special 100 year-old parcel of Alicante Bouschet. It spends 12 months in the highest quality Burgundy oak barrels, which gives the wine a lovely softness but preserves all the amazing aromas from the fruit.

Just make sure you order before 12pm on Thursday. After that, there’ll be no Easter miracles...
